The International Sports Acrobatics Tournament in memory of N.I. Lakiza summed up the results
Tashkent hosted an international tournament on sports acrobatics in memory of the founder of this sport in Uzbekistan, Honored Coach of the USSR Nikolai Lakiza. About 100 athletes from Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan participated in the competition. At the opening ceremony of the tournament, the veterans of sports were honored. This year, Nikolai Ivanovich Lakiza would have turned 110 years old. Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Sports of Uzbekistan Bahodir Mahsitov noted the merits of Nikolai Ivanovich and all those who made a feasible contribution to the development and popularization of gymnastic disciplines in the country. The rules of the international tournament included the performance of balance and dynamic exercises by participants divided into three age categories. Successfully qualified in the final demonstrated combined compositions, and only then, according to the sum of all three exercises, the final score was formed. The full results will be published a little later, but already now we note that acrobats of Uzbekistan have won 14 medals: 3 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze awards.
