Sports Development Minister Adkham Ikramov spoke with FGU representatives

Minister of Sports Development Ikramov Adkham Ilhamovich visited the Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan. The meeting was attended by the leadership and members of the federation, RSVSM in gymnastics, RSDYUSSHOR in gymnastics, coaches. At the beginning of the conversation, the head of the relevant ministry got acquainted with the current state of affairs, and also noted the successful performance of Oksana Chusovitina at the recently held World Cup in Qatar. Further, the minister announced the appointment of the director of the Republican specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve in gymnastics Shahlo Narziev, who replaced Abdulla Achilov in this post. As Adham Ikramov noted, “We will build work with federations based on three components. First, what does the federation itself need? Second, what will we get in return? And third, prospects for the Asian Games, the Olympic Games in Paris and Los Angeles.” During the constructive dialogue, topical issues related to the support and development of gymnastic disciplines were raised. And first of all, Ruslan Mustaev, FGU Vice-President, said that the problem of returning the main sports base for members of national teams has not yet been resolved. In addition, in April of this year, the traditional holding of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is planned in Tashkent. And the RSDYUSSHOR in gymnastics is the only one in the republic that meets international requirements for holding such a level of competition. The head of the Ministry of Sports Development gave relevant instructions to the responsible persons to solve this problem, as well as the issue related to the construction of two separate halls for sports, rhythmic gymnastics and a trampoline, as well as the purchase of specialized equipment. The agenda also included a discussion of the workflow, budget, prompt resolution of issues related to customs clearance of sports equipment and equipment, the organization of training centers and the participation of athletes in major international competitions. On all points, Adkham Ikramov gave appropriate instructions and appointed those responsible for monitoring the implementation of all tasks. 

Also, in order to popularize gymnastics in Uzbekistan and develop mass character, it was instructed to organize and conduct a Gymnastrada on a large scale this spring.

At the end of the meeting, Adkham Ikramov noted the well-coordinated work of the entire team of the Uzbekistan Gymnastics Federation, as well as the well-formulated specific questions and problems identified by the FGU members.
