Minister of Tourism and Sports held a meeting with the members of the Uzbekistan Gymnastics Federation

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov held the meeting with the representatives of Uzbekistan Gymnastics Federation. During this event the head of Uzbekistan Gymnastics Federation Ruslan Mustayev defended a report on previous Olympic cycle, gave detailed information about participation of the members of national teams on artistic and rhythmic gymnastics in Tokyo 2020. Also the strategy for the preparation of the Olympic teams for the Games 2024 to be held in Paris, the order of acquiring licenses and the planned results were presented. The minister expressed his concern over the availability of the reserve and the selection of promising athletes from the regions and distant areas. Senior coaches on various forms of gymnastics shared the situation related to the development of gymnastic disciplines in the regions and the existing problems. The problem of returning the main sports base was taken into consideration.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the NOC, headed by Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, and the Cabinet of Ministers. The head of the Ministry ordered to prepare a draft decree on the development of artistic gymnastics and trampoline.
