Solemn meeting of Oksana Chusovitina in Tashkent

Today, at the international airport of Tashkent, a solemn meeting was held for the winner of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Doha Oksana Chusovitina, the finalists of the competitions Utkirbek Juraev and Khabibullo Ergashev, as well as the rest of the team members Gulnaz Dzhumabekova, Rasuljon Abdurahimov, Abdulla Azimov, coaches and members of the referee board Andrey Nilov, Ravshan Mirzaev and Oksana Kiosi. The ceremonial event was organized by Uzavtosanoat JSC, the Ministry of Sports Development, the Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan, with the participation of fans of our gymnasts, the country's sports community and media representatives. According to the President of the Gymnastics Federation, head of the board of the automotive industry Shavkat Umurzakov, the sports legend Oksana Chusovitina is a symbol of gymnastics in Uzbekistan and causes great pride in every compatriot. He warmly congratulated all members of the team on a successful start and wished the team further victories. Deputy Minister of Sports Development Shakhrillo Makhmudov expressed confidence that Oksana’s result would be repeated at the upcoming Asian Games this fall, and also hope that the younger generation, looking at Chusovitina’s achievements and unique abilities, would strive to the heights of Olympus. In turn, Oksana thanked for the warm and touching meeting and noted that the decision to return to big-time sports was not easy, and in order for this return to become worthy, it was necessary to work even harder on yourself.
